Introduction to My Struggles
My name is Jenn Williamson. I’m 56 years old. My weight loss journey with LifeRx.md started in December 2022. I was close to 500 lbs. I always had to carry with me an inhaler, plus diabetic meds, blood pressure meds, high cholesterol meds, and an endless supply of Advil for pain. I couldn’t take 100 steps without having to stop and rest. It was a horrible way to live my life. Almost like a self-imposed death sentence! It felt like being in a bubble.
The Breaking Point: Realizing the Need for Change
The month before, in November, I was actually looking for mobility scooters to use; it was extremely frustrating; the more I looked, the angrier I got with myself.
So after a month, I finally woke up thinking, what the hell am I doing besides killing myself.
Eating daily with fast food takeout, cases of soda, iced sweet tea, fried food, and gigantic plates of food. I remember I could eat an extra-large pizza all by myself and want more. The more I ate, the more I wanted it; my one constant was food, feeling sad food. Feeling depressed, I go to food lots of food.
I also came to the realization that it was a way to self-medicate myself from being sad and depressed, kind of like putting a small bandaid on a gaping wound.
The LifeRx.md Call
When I called LifeRx.md, the first person I spoke with was Noah. He seemed like a genuine, honest man. He explained everything to me and sent me literature. And I also did a lot of research. I am kind of a geek when it comes to finding out about stuff. Before I start any routine, I do research. So I looked up side effects, as well as the do’s and don’ts. And I wanted to also experience the side effects. So I got my package after completing the required blood work because everyone is different, so the meds are specifically made for you, which means you just can’t pass it on to someone else.
My Journey Begins: The Routine
I finally started my journey in December 2022. I figured out a routine, and I have stuck to it since then.
The dont’s first.
- No drinking from straws.
- No seconds or large Portion sizes.
- Instead of a Dunkin’ coffee(extra sweet), cut it back to French vanilla, two creams, two vanilla flavors, and one pump of liquid sugar. Believe me it takes a while to get used to the taste. I went from a large coffee down to a small cup which I don’t even finish anymore.
- No soda. No sweet tea. Nothing carbonated. The reason for that is gas which in turn causes you to be bloated.
The Do’s.
- Small containers.
- Breakfast including:
- 40 oz. Drinkable probiotic daily.
- A hand full of fresh blueberries.
- One Egg paddy.
- 5 walnuts.
- Half a cup of the DD coffee.
My Day-to-Day Diet
The rest of the day, I drink water, lots of it. I also drink Gatorade, which I drink half a bottle of and then fill it up with water. I do. I drink the diet Gatorade. It’s nasty and loaded with chemicals. Then I have snack peanut butter cups ( not the candy ). I also have a small container of cut-up chicken breast chunks. I also have tuna fish packets and a drop of plain Greek yogurt. Yeah, it tastes nasty, but you focus on the tuna, so that will be good. I eat a lot of steamed green vegetables. I don’t use any sugar or salt in anything I cook.
So, in a nutshell, what has LifeRx.md done for me?
- I’ve lost 250lbs in 26 months.
- It has given me the freedom to walk without having to stop every 30 steps.
- It made me go down seven sizes.
- It made me feel good about myself.
- It gave me the confidence that I didn’t have before to tell people about my journey.
- It has given me the opportunity to share with people that, YES, you can do this too.
