For the Dogs in a Blanket:

  • 10-pack turkey hot dogs

  • ½ pack turkey bacon, chopped

  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

For the Party Mix Beans:

  • 1 can Bush’s Baked Beans (no salt or sugar added)

  • ½ can black beans, drained

  • 1 can cannellini beans, drained

  • 1 can northern beans, drained

  • ½ container edamame (shelled)

  • 1 purple onion, diced

  • 3 green onions, sliced

  • ½ red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 tbsp minced garlic

  • 2 tbsp minced ginger

  • ½ cup mustard

  • ½ cup ketchup (sugar-free optional)

  • Avocado oil spray

  • Parsley flakes for garnish

👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients

  • Wash and prep your veggies: slice the peppers and green onions, dice the purple onion, and mince the garlic and ginger.

  • Slice turkey bacon into bite-sized pieces.

  • Drain all beans except Bush’s Baked Beans using a colander.

Step 2: Cook the Bacon and Veggies

  • Spray a pan with avocado oil over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp garlic and 2 tbsp ginger. Sauté briefly, then add turkey bacon and cook until crisp.

  • Remove bacon and set aside.

  • In the same pan, spray more avocado oil. Add the diced and sliced vegetables with 1 tbsp garlic and 1 tbsp ginger. Sauté until tender, then turn off the heat.

Step 3: Mix the Party Beans

  • In a large bowl, combine:

    • Drained beans (except Bush’s Baked Beans)

    • Cooked vegetables

    • Mustard and ketchup

    • 1 can of Bush’s Baked Beans

  • Stir well and set aside.

Step 4: Boil the Hot Dogs

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add hot dogs and boil for 5 minutes.

  • Remove from water and let cool slightly.

Step 5: Wrap the Dogs

  • Open the crescent rolls and wrap each hot dog in one triangle of dough.

  • Place the wrapped dogs in a baking dish and top each with cooked turkey bacon.

Step 6: Bake

  • For the hot dogs: Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • For the bean mix: Pour into a baking dish, top with remaining bacon.

    • Cover with foil and bake at 370°F for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for 15 more minutes.

Step 7: Plate and Enjoy!

Serve a warm turkey dog in a blanket with a generous spoonful of the baked party bean mix. Garnish with parsley flakes for extra freshness and color.
